Windsurfing has become extremely popular on the Tunisian coasts, which host departure and arrival points for Mediterranean and Trans-Mediterranean competitions. The Sidi Bou Saîd marina is home to a sailing and windsurfing school. Like the port of Bizerte, the marina has an excellent reputation for hosting international sailing events. Local events are increasing, especially in hotel areas. Windsurfing may be practised all year round. However, between December and April, wind-surfers need the appropriate wear for the season.
